Boxcar's New Lower Midtown Route!
Boxcar is thrilled to announce the full launch of our new Lower Midtown Route! Starting Tuesday, January 28th and running through the month of February. This route will run Monday through Thursday and will transition to a permanent route if the ridership is sustainable. Tickets are now available in the Boxcar app, so you can plan your commute with ease. Here’s everything you need to know about the schedule and stops to make your travel seamless:
Morning Routes:
AM Option 1:
- Convent Station: 5:40 AM
- Madison: 5:50 AM
- Chatham: 5:56 AM
AM Option 2
- Convent Station: 7:05 AM
- Madison: 7:15 AM
- Chatham: 7:21 AM
AM Option 3
This loop is designed for those heading straight from Madison and Chatham (please note: this bus does not pick up at Convent Station):
- Madison: 8:10 AM
- Chatham: 8:16 AM
Hudson Yards Morning Drop-Offs:
We’ve carefully selected drop-off points to ensure smooth access to key destinations in Lower Midtown:
- 10th Ave & 34th St
- 11th Ave & Hudson Blvd
- 9th Ave & 23rd St
- 5th Ave & E 23rd St
- 14th St & 5th Ave
- 14th St & 7th Ave
- 14th St & 10th Ave
Evening Pickup Route
End your day with comfort and efficiency. Pick up time arelisted in the app, where we also encourage riders to use the bus tracking feature.

Hudson Yards PM Pickups:
- NY Life Insurance Building
- One Madison Ave
- Union Square North (Park and 18th)
- 14th and 5th
- 14th and 8th
- 10th and 18th
- 10th and 26th
- 10th and 30th
- 10th and 34th
From there, the route continues up 10th Ave and directly into the Lincoln Tunnel for a smooth ride home.
